Are you ready for Christmas? I know it’s only September but it’s the beginning of the Fall season and that means Christmas will be here before you know it! It’s my absolute favorite time of the year! And, of course, there are so many fun holiday products to play with! For this project, I used the new embossing paste along with a fun new bundle of products called Ready for Christmas!
This project is a little putzy but it’s easy to create! And once it’s created, it’s absolutely beautiful! To get started, cut a piece of Old Olive Cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Scoop a bit of embossing paste onto a silicone mate. Add a few drops of crumb cake or other brown colored ink and mix it in the paste until you achieve the desired color. Grab the piece of cherry cobbler cardstock and lay the brick wall template (decorative mask) on top. Spread the embossing paste across the template using a palette knife. Remove the template and let dry. Now, to create the wreath! I cut out 8 pine branches, with the thinlits from the Ready for Christmas bundle, using old olive cardstock. Once I cut out all of the pine branches, I simply layered them in a circle in the middle of the brick wall to create the wreath. You can adhere the pine branches with a few glue dots. Embellish as desired!
