Christmas Quilt

More Quilted Christmas fun to share with you today! I have played with this bundle of products more than the bundles that I had on the top of my wish list! The stamp set has such fun images and the die cuts are just fabulous. Today I want to share one of my favorite creations with this set! It showcases a fun way to use the die cuts and the leftover pieces from the die cuts. Take a look.

To create this card, I started with a piece of Whisper White cardstock for the base of the card. Now that Stampin’ Up! has the Thick Whisper White cardstock, I only use that for the base of the card. It works perfect because it’s a heavier weight, so it can handle all of the fun layers and embellishments that I like to add to my cards. Next I cut out a bunch of flowery images using the die cuts in the set.  So, not to confuse you but I used the regular Whisper White cardstock to cut out the flowers with the die cut. The die cuts and layers on the card do not have to be as thick as the base of the card. You can certainly use the thick white, it won’t cause issues. Notice that I used both the flower and the leftover pieces from the middle of the flower on the card. It has a really fun effect, hey? You can easily adhere the pieces with a few glue dots. For the focal point, I simply used the die to cut out two different patterns of the Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP). I added a green flower to the center of the DSP cut from a piece of Garden Green Cardstock and then added a little sentiment. For the finishing touch, I embellished the card with a few pearls.
