This past weekend we had a bridal shower for my future daughter-in-law! They have chosen a rustic theme for their wedding so, naturally, the shower was all decked out in rustic style decor. I made a special little gift for them and it was all wrapped up in this pretty little package. The new Wood Textures Designer Series Paper was the perfect DSP to use for this shower. I mean, what can be more rustic looking than actual wood, right? 🙂
And of course, the gift was handcrafted with a variety of different rustic themed products from Stampin’ Up! I had so much fun creating this gift for them. It’s a little home decor piece that is personalized for the bride and groom. I was going to save it for their wedding but decided that I couldn’t wait! lol
Do you remember the herringbone pattern that I shared with you a few weeks ago! Well, that is the pattern I used to create the backdrop for this piece. The bride loved the gift! I really enjoy creating personalized gifts. This home decor piece is super simple to make too. You just need an alphabet stamp set with your favorite style of letters and some fun things to embellish it with. Oh, and you also need a frame. I actually used an old frame that I had lying around. Worked perfect! It will be a wonderful keepsake for them for years to come!
