The rustic look of wood on a project always catches my eye. I have enjoyed working with the wood grain stamp sets and embossing folders from Stampin’ Up! But the NEW Wood Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP) is, by far, my favorite wood grained product! The wood grain patterns in this pack of DSP are so realistic. As you know, I have been creating a variety of different projects using this paper. It’s been so fun to use it with flowery images! I love accenting the darker wood grain papers with vanilla or white flower images. It really highlights the deep textures of the wood and the image.
The Wood Textures DSP comes in a 6 x 6 pack. Since I have been using 5-1/4 x 4 inch pieces of various wood grain patterns, I ended up with a large amount of 3/4 x 6 inch scrap pieces. I decided to play around with these little scrap pieces and ended up designing a variety of different herringbone patterns. I was super excited about this as it was such a great way to use up the scraps and create some beautiful projects!
I had soooo much fun creating different designs with the wood texture scraps! So this week I will share a variety of wood texture projects with all of you! I will show you how simple it is to create this fun herringbone pattern too! I have a photo tutorial that will come out later this week but the best way to learn this technique is by watching it! I will do a Facebook LIVE session on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00pm (CT). Don’t worry…I will record the session if you are unable to join me LIVE.
Hope to see you there! Be sure to follow me on Facebook at >>> https://www.facebook.com/stamptasticdesigns/
