Tie Dyed

Hello Stampin’ Friends!  Hope you had a wonderful week!  Happy Friday!  The Stampin’ Up! Retirement sale is underway and, of course, I am in awe at the amount of items that are retiring!  I am always surprised and a little sad to see some of my favorite products retire.  But that just means that there is more room for some NEW products…which is always exciting!  Well today I want to share a little project I created with a few of the retiring stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog!  If you love the “tie dyed” look then you are gonna love this card.

To make this card, start with a piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock for the base of the card.  Cut a 5-1/4 x 3-1/2 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Grab a Styrofoam plate or plastic container and one baby wipe! Yes, a baby wipe! Lay the baby wipe on the plate and randomly drop the following ink colors on the baby wipe:  Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Sweet Sugarplum. The baby wipe, with the ink, becomes your ink pad!  Now simply ink up the background stamp by pushing it down into the ink on the baby wipe, then stamp it on your cardstock. Repeat this process for the little heart images. Cut a 5-1/4 x 1 inch piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock…gently tear the cardstock in half so you end up with a rough edge and adhere it to the bottom part of the white cardstock. Adhere the entire piece to your card front. Stamp a little t-shirt using the Custom Tee stamp set and adhere to the cards as shown with a few dimensionals. For the finishing touch, embellish with some of the In Color enamel shapes. Enjoy!
