Star Blast

Hello Stampin’ Friends! Today I have some fun little projects to share with you that showcase the Star Blast Edgelits! I have been having a blast (pun intended) using these dies to create some gorgeous cards for my team members!  I decided to use “bronze” and “silver” to create the cards because it represents different levels of achievements for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators. I had several team members promote to bronze elite and silver levels so it was so fun to coordinate cards and gifts for them!

To make the “Silver” card, start with a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of Whisper White cardstock. Stamp a little congratulatory sentiment on the bottom of your card using Smoky Slate ink. Using the Star Blast Edgelit, cut out the silver star blast from a piece of silver foil paper and adhere it to the middle of your card using a few glue dots.  Cut a 1-1/4 x 4 inch piece of silver glimmer paper and adhere it over the bottom portion of the star blast die cut as shown. For the finishing touch, embellish the card with the little stars that are left over from cutting out the Star Blast image! Super simple and it looks so cool!  This is the perfect card for a graduation or to celebrate any type of accomplishment!  Plus this star blast die is part of the Stampin’ Up retirement sale so you can pick it up at a super price! Enjoy!
