Hello Stampin Friends! Can you believe it is the last month of Stampin’ Up’s Sale-A-Bration? Wow, time flies when you are having fun! And this year’s Sale-A-Bration products have been a lot of fun! So much fun that they are flying off the shelves! They have already sold out of several items so if there is something on your wish list, you need to get it really soon! And the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper has now entered the “low inventory” status. Yikes! So I thought I better share this fun little card idea with you in case you wanted to get your hands on some of this fun paper!
To make this card, start with a piece of Whisper White cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/2 x 2 inch piece of one of your favorite patterned papers. I happen to have some fun yellow polka dot paper that worked great with this card! Cut a 1-1/2 x 4 inch piece of the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper (the freebies Sale-A-Bration product). Color in the various images on the paper using some watercolor pencils and a blender pen. If you haven’t used a blender pen, it’s super simple. The pen comes prefilled with a solution designed to help you “blend” colors. Simply run the brush tip of the pen across the areas you colored with the watercolor pencils. It will help smooth out the lines and blend the color. Super fun! Next, cut a 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Old Olive cardstock; adhere the colored DSP to the old olive cardstock. Tuck a piece of a doily under the right side of the cardstock and adhere to the card as shown. For the finishing touch, stamp a little sentiment on the card. Enjoy!
