A Window to Spring

Hello Stampin’ Friends! Happy Friday! I wanted to share a pretty little project that was inspired by some scrap pieces of paper on my crafting table. I know most of us have a variety of scraps lying around just waiting to be used. I happened to have several scrap pieces of the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper lying on my crafting table. As I laid them out on the craft table, it reminded me of a something you would see when looking out a window. So I cut down the pieces a bit and created this little window card. It reminds me of Spring!

To make this card, start with a piece of Soft Suede cardstock for the base of your card. Cut two 1 x 4 inch pieces of the yellow polka dot pattern from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Adhere each of these pieces to the card front, one on each side. Cut a 3-1/2 x 4 inch piece of Soft Suede cardstock.Cut a 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 inch piece of one of the patterns from the Serene Scenery DSP pack. Cut two a 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 inch pieces of the DSP. Adhere these DSP pieces to the 3-1/2 x 4 inch piece of Soft Suede cardstock leaving about 1/4 inch of the soft suede cardstock showning in between and around the pieces. Then adhere the entire piece to the middle of the card front. Cut a 3/4 x 3 inch piece of Soft Suede cardstock, stamp a little sentiment on it and snip the end into a banner; adhere to the card as shown.  Cut a paper doily into quarters; add a quarter of a doily to each corner of the card to give the window a little “valance.” Using soft suede ink, stamp a little bumblebee on a piece of scrap yellow cardstock. and cut it out using the thinlit from the Dragonfly Dreams bundle. Then add it as an embellishement!  Enjoy!
