Hello Stampin’ Friends! It’s Sunday-Funday! I will be heading out to a little stampin’ event today with 10 excited ladies! Are you busy stampin’ and craftin’ today? If you are in need of a bit of inspiration, I have a fun little project to share with you! This particular project showcases the Builder Birdcage stamp set. I was drawn to the stamp set because of it’s vintage images…I tend to think vintage or antique any time I see a birdcage. Probably because it’s my Mom’s style of decorating. 🙂
To make this card, start with a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of the yellow patterned paper from the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Then just “build” your birdcages! The stamp set is a photopolymer so it is so easy to line up the images of birdcages. You can mix and match the pieces of the cages to create a variety different styles! Stamp the birdcage and chain images using Early Espresso ink. You can add a little bird in the cages too! I just used Bermuda Bay, one of the colors in the DSP. Adhere the entire piece of DSP to the center of the Early Espresso cardstock. Cut two pieces of Very Vanilla Lace Trim and adhere it to each side of the DSP as shown; then adhere the entire piece to your card front. For the finishing touch, stamp a little sentiment on some scrap Very Vanilla cardstock, cut it out by hand, and adhere it to the card as shown. Enjoy!
