Hello Stampin’ Friends! Hope you are enjoying your week! Today I have some cute projects to share that showcase the Cupcakes & Carousels Product Suite. This particular suite of products is so much fun! I think my favorite product in this suite is the Designer Series Paper (DSP) as it has such soft color combos in it. You can create a variety of cards with the patterns in the DSP pack. Let me show you some fun samples!
This first card showcases a more masculine style project. The diamond patterned paper in the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP pack is perfect for creating masculine style cards. To make this card, start with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP with the diamond pattern. Using the Lots of Labels framelits, cut out 3 different sized labels in the following colors: Early Espresso, Peekaboo Peach and Very Vanilla. Just a little tip: Make sure you choose a label size that fits the sentiment you want to use…then choose the next larger 2 sizes as the mattes. Stamp the circus tent image on the small Very Vanilla cardstock label using Soft Sky ink. Stamp the birthday sentiment directly over the top using Early Espresso ink. Layer all of the pieces together and adhere it to the DSP. I used dimensionals to “pop” up the very vanilla piece. For the finishing touch, wrap a bit of linen thread around the entire piece of DSP a few times and then tie a bow. Adhere the DSP to your card front! Enjoy!
This second project would be great for a child’s birthday! To make this card, start with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 1 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the yellow patterned paper and a 2 x 5-1/4 inch piece of the diamond patterned paper from the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP. Adhere the pieces to the card as shown. Stamp the carousel horse image on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Early Espresso ink; cut out the image with the appropriate framelit. Cut out a second label framelit using Bermuda Bay cardstock. Adhere these pieces together and then adhere them to the card front, slightly overlapping the DSP. For the finishing touch, stamp the birthday sentiment on a piece of scrap paper, using Calypso Coral ink. Trim down the paper with the sentiment and create a banner. Adhere the banner just under the horse. For the finishing touch, embellish with a few peekaboo peach, in color, enamel shapes! Enjoy!
