Hello Stampin’ Friends! The week is half over already! Wow time flies when you are having fun, right? Especially if the fun involves a bit of stampin’ and craftin’! Today I have a fun little Valentine’s Day project to share with you. Yes, I know…I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! It’s less than a month away so I thought I better start sharing some ideas! The project I have for you today was created with the products from the Sending Love Suite! Let’s take a look at how to make this card!
Start with a piece of Real Red cardstock for the base of the card. Using the heart edglit die, found in the framelit set, cut the right side of the card front. The edglit die will actually cut out those adorable little hearts right on the side of your card! It’s pretty awesome! Next, cut a 5-1/4 x 3 inch piece of one of the patterned papers in the Sending Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) Pack. Adhere it to the front of your card using a bit of SNAIL or other adhesive. Cut out two little “love notes” envelopes using the die in the Love Notes Framelit set. Use different patterned paper for each envelope. The die will actually cut and score the little envelope which makes it super simple to put together. Then simply decorate the envelopes as desired! You can embellish them with some of the Sending Love Ribbon and/or those adorable little wooden embellishments. Stamp a little love note, cut it out with the coordinating framelit, and tuck it into one of the envelopes. Adhere both envelopes to the card front as shown. You can also add a bit of bling to the hearts by adding some rhinestones.
On the inside of the card, cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white carstock. Cut a 1 x 5-1/4 inch piece of one of the red patterned papers in the DSP pack and adhere to the right side of the white cardstock. This piece will serve as a “matte” for those adorable hearts you cut into the front of the card. Enjoy!
