Hello Stampin’ Friends! I have started working on some Valentine’s Day and “Love-Themed” cards using the Falling in Love product suite. Today we are going to focus on a “Love-Themed” project created with the Falling in Love product suite. If you haven’t seen the products in this suite, you need to check them out! They are simply gorgeous and it’s one of my favorite product suites in the new catalog. Yeah, I know, I seem to have a lot of favorites! 🙂 The products in this suite focus on “love-themed” events like anniversaries and weddings. However,you could certainly use these products to create projects for other occasions as well. So today I want to share one of my favorite projects created with this suite.
To make this card, start with a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock for the base of your card. Randomly stamp some of the images from the “So in Love” stamp set on the front of your card base using Blushing Bride ink. Just a little tip: Stamp the images in a cluster, overlapping them slightly, to create an elegant background. Lay one of the Lace doilies over the stamped images. I recommend not adhering the doily until you have the desired amount of stamped images on the card. This gives you the ability to remove the doily and stamp a few more images to fill in the background. Once you have the desired look for your background, adhere the doily to the card with a few glue dots. Cut a few pieces of white ribbon and some lace trim just a little bit longer than the size of the doily; adhere them across the center of the doily. Take some linen thread and make a few loops around your fingers with it. Slide the loops off and adhere the bunch of linen thread to the center of the doily; use glue dots to hold it in place. Stamp a sentiment on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Sahara Sand ink; stamp some leaf images over the sentiment using Blushing Bride ink. Cut the Very Vanilla cardstock into a banner and adhere over the ribbon, trim and linen thread as shown; use dimensionals to secure it. For the finishing touch, add a little Falling in Love Embellishment! Enjoy!
