Hello Stampin’ Friends! It’s the start of the NEW Stampin’ Up! Occasions catalog and Sale-a-bration! Wahoo! My favorite time of year! Today I wanted to share a little project that I created for my new catalog open house! The project showcases the Dragonfly Dreams bundle of products and the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I have to admit that I wasn’t really fond of the DSP when I first saw it as I thought “Wow, it will take a long time to color all of those images!” But then I found a really quick and fun way to use that DSP. Let’s take a closer look.
To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of the flowery pattern from the Inside the Lines DSP. Note: This DSP is FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration!
Grab some sponges and the following ink colors: Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Mint Macaron. Sponge each of the colors across the DSP as shown. Stamp the dragonfly image on a scrap piece of white cardstock, using blushing bride ink, then cut it out with the coordinating framelit. Cut a detailed dragonfly, using the coordinating framelit, out of a piece of vellum. Adhere the body of the vellum dragonfly to the blushing bride one with a few glue dots. Adhere a delicate white doily to the center of the DSP. Adhere the dragonfly with a few stampin’ dimensionals. For the finishing touch, add a little sentiment banner and embellish with pearls. Enjoy!
