Hello Stampin’ Friends! Today I have a fun little Birthday card idea to share that showcases the Balloon Celebration stamp set! This card was inspired by one of the pretty little projects in the Stampin’ Up! annual catalog. Given that Sale-a-bration is right around the corner, I thought that a little “celebration” card was in order!
To make this card, start with a piece of Soft Sky cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp the balloon strings in the center of the cardstock about a 1/2 inch up from the bottom using Smoky Slate ink. Stamp and/or punch out the balloons using the following colors: Watermelon Wonder, Tangerine Tango, So Saffron and Pink Pirouette. Use the balloon bouquet punch to cut out small and large balloons. Pop up the balloons with dimensionals. Stamp the clouds on the card, as shown, using Soft Sky ink. Stamp the birthday sentiment just below one of the clouds using Smoky Slate ink. Stamp a few star clusters in random spots on the card using soft sky ink. For the finishing touch, add a bit of silver glitter ribbon across the bottom of the card. Enjoy!
