Hello Stampin’ Friends! I thought I would change things up a bit today and share a little non-Christmas related project! Don’t get me wrong…I love the holidays! I have been working on Christmas cards since August and have made over 300 of them! So I needed a little change in scenery 🙂 This particular card was created with the Feather Together stamp set and the Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper (DSP). The color combo idea came straight from the colors that are found in the DSP! Let’s take a look…
To make this card, start with a piece of Night of Navy cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 x 3-3/4 inch piece of Mint Macaron cardstock and emboss the left side of it with the Petal Burst embossing folder. Cut a 5 x 1-1/2 inch piece of one of the patterns from the Petals & Paisleys DSP; adhere it to the left side of the Mint Macaron cardstock. Run a piece of Rich Razzleberry ribbon across the area where the DSP and embossed images intersect on the Mint cardstock. Adhere the Mint Macaron cardstock to the front of the Night of Navy cards base. Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Stamp a little sentiment on the bottom of the Very Vanilla cardstock using Night of Navy ink. Next, stamp three (3) different leaf images on the cardstock as shown using the following colors: Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, and Rich Razzleberry. Cut a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Night of Navy cardstock; adhere this piece to the 3 x 4 inch piece of Very Vanilla to serve as a matte. Adhere to the card front as shown. For the finishing touch, embellish with a few metallic gold enamel shapes.
