Hello Stampin’ Friends! Christmas is in the air! And it’s my favorite time of year! I have been working on putting together around 300 Christmas cards this year! Yes, 300! It’s been so much fun creating them with all of the great products in this year’s holiday catalog. Today I have a little z-fold card to share with all of you. This fun fold card is quick and simple to put together and has that “wow” factor because of the fun fold. Let me show you how simple it is!
To make this card, start with a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch piece of Real Red cardstock for the base of your card. On the 8-1/2 inch side, score at 2-1/8 and at 5-1/2. Fold the card in half on the 5-1/2 inch score line. Then fold the 2-1/8 inch flap back onto itself (fold it towards the 5-1/2 inch fold). Once you have the base of the card created, cut a 5-1/4 x 1-7/8 inch piece of the bell pattern from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Adhere this piece to the outside flap of the card as shown. Cut a 3 x 3 inch piece of Real Red cardstock and, using the stitched shapes framelits, cut out the largest square from a piece of whisper white cardstock. Adhere these two pieces together. Stamp two different bells on a scrap piece of white cardstock using Versa Mark, sprinkle them with gold embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat to set. Punch out the Bells with the coordinating Bell punch. Adhere the bells to the square white cardstock with a few dimensionals. Stamp a little bow in Versa Mark, using the Holly Berry Happiness bundle, on a piece of Real Red cardstock, sprinkle it with gold embossing powder, tap off the excess and heat to set. You could also just embellish the bells with a piece of red ribbon tied in a bow. Adhere the left side of the 3 x 3 inch piece (with the bells) to the flap of the card front (be sure to only add adhesive to the left side of that piece). For the finishing touch, cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of Delightful Dijon cardstock and adhere it to the inside of the card. You can also stamp or emboss a little sentiment on the inside of the card.
