Hello Stampin’ Friends! Did you have a nice Thanksgiving? The holiday season is my favorite time of the year. I love creating fun holiday projects and decorating! It’s our family tradition to put up the Christmas tree and decorate the house the day after Thanksgiving. So that’s what we will be doing this weekend! And, of course, a little crafting in between! 🙂 Today I have a fun little Christmas card idea to share. Beside decorating and putting up the tree, I also start sending out my Christmas cards right after Thanksgiving. And this year I had a blast creating cards with all of the fabulous products in the new catalog! Today’s project showcases a fun little Christmas Moose.
To make this card, start with a piece of Real Red cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 3 x4 inch piece of some of your favorite designer series paper (DSP). I used a piece from the Candy Cane Lane DSP pack. Cut a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Early Espresso cardstock. Adhere these two pieces together; run a piece of the Real Red 3/4″ Stitched Edge Ribbon across the left side of this piece then adhere to your card front, as shown, with a few dimensionals. Stamp a little Christmas greeting on a scrap piece of white cardstock. Cut it out with one of the square Stitched Shape Framelits (use one that fits your sentiment). Adhere to the front of your card by covering up a corner of the DSP. Stamp the moose image, from the Jolly Friends stamp set, on a scrap piece of crumb cake cardstock using Early Espresso ink. Cut out the moose by hand…yes, you will have to do a bit of fussy cutting. For the finishing touch, punch out a little Santa hat using the Jolly Hat Builder punch and embellish the moose. Enjoy!
