Remembering Our Loved Ones

fred-2012Hello Friends. Today I want to take a moment and reflect upon the gift of life. God grants us this gift each and every day. It is a precious gift, and one that I am grateful for each and every day.

Yesterday, we held a memorial service for my brother-in-law, Fred Opitz. He was only 50 years old. No words can truly express the loss and heartache we are all feeling. His courage, strength and love was so profound. Although he is now at peace, resting comfortably in the hands of the Lord, my heart aches. We are comforted by the memories we shared and and in knowing that he will always be with us.  We were blessed to have him in our life even if it was for only a short time.  My message to you today is this…God has a plan for all of us. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).  Don’t let the hustle and bustle of everyday life get in the way of spending time with the people that mean the most to you. Hug your loved ones and tell them how much they mean to you each and every day.

    • Hi Phyllis, Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Your package did go out in the mail last week so you should be receiving it Monday or Tuesday. I apologize for the delay. I did not receive your check yet but it might be in tomorrow’s mail since there was no mail on Friday.
