Hello Stampin’ Friends! Today I want to share a beautiful Christmas card idea showcasing the Santa’s Sleigh bundle of products. The card features a little bit of stamping and a whole lot of die cutting! Well…not really a whole lot but it’s the die cutting and embossing that makes this card so beautiful.
To make this card, start with a piece of Mint Macaron cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Using the “sleigh” thinlit die, cut out the image directly in the center of the cardstock. Set that piece aside. Emboss the 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock (the one you just cut the sleigh out of) with the Holly Textured Embossing Folder. Cut a 4 x 3 inch piece of the mint macaron patterned paper from the Presents and Pinecones Designer Series Paper pack and adhere it behind the white cardstock so it shows through the sleigh opening. Tie a little bow from some mint macaron ribbon and adhere it to the corner of the white cardstock as shown. Adhere the entire piece to your card front.
Next, take a piece of dazzling diamond glimmer paper and cut out the top part of the sleigh (use the fancy thinlit in the die set). Grab the original white sleigh that you set aside earlier and carefully cut off the top part so that you only have the blades. Adhere the blade to the mint macaron paper as shown. Next, adhere the fancy top part of the sleigh (the glimmer paper die cut) to your card as shown. Use glue dots to adhere the pieces. For the finishing touch, embellish it with some 3/4 inch strips of glimmer paper and and white cardstock with a little sentiment stamped on it.
