Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I am at a Stampin’ Up! event called On Stage. It’s a day and half long event that is super fun! We swap cards, learn new techniques, get a sneak peek of the new catalog coming out in January (WAHOO!) and, most of all, we enjoy each other’s company! I will have lots to share with you when I return!
So for today, I want to share a fun little Christmas gift bag idea! You might have seen the “blah” looking brown paper bags in the annual catalog. They are “blah” until you start to dress them up, of course! I decided to make a few gift bags, filled with goodies, for my team members that were attending On Stage with me. They are super simple and so pretty!
Here’s what you need to do! Take one of your favorite embossing folders, I used the Holly Textured Embossing Folder, then fold over the top of the bag, place it inside your embossing folder and, voila, you have a pretty embossed bag! To decorate the bag, I simply cut a 2 x 12 inch piece of the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper and wrapped it around the top part of the bag (to keep the bag closed). It serves as a belly band so you can easily slide it off and on the bag. Then tie a bit of ribbon on the belly band and add a cute little tag! Simple, hey? Now you can use any embossing folder and designer paper, not just Christmas. Get creative with it! Enjoy!
