Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I have a fun little Christmas card idea that showcases the Twinkle Trees stamp set. When I first saw this set, I thought it was very cleverly designed. The images in the stamp set allow you to “decorate” your Christmas tree any way you like! I love working with splatter images as well as other fun image clusters. It reminds me of the Timeless Textures stamp set except with a Christmas theme!
To make this card, start with a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the base of the card. Emboss the front of the card with the Holly Textured Embossing Folder. Now I usually use all Stampin’ Up! products but I had a fun embossing folder that I thought would show off this stamp set really well. But you don’t need this fancy frame to make a cute card! Simply cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock to stamp your images on and then cut a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 inch piece of Emerald Envy cardstock to serve as a matte. Stamp your sentiment on the bottom first. Directly above your sentiment, stamp the squiggly lines, which is the outline of your tree, using Emerald Envy ink. Then simply “decorate” your tree by randomly stamping other fun images on and around the squiggly lines. I used the “dots” with Mint Macaron ink and the “stars” with Daffodil Delight ink. That’s it! Super simple, hey?
