Star of Light

Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I want to share a little Christmas card idea with you. This particular card was created with products from the new Star of Light bundle. The bundle has some absolutely stunning images in it! Not to mention the gorgeous detailed die cuts! It’s one of my absolute favorite sets for creating elegant Christmas cards.

To make this card, start with a piece of Soft Sky cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of silver foil paper. Cut a 5 x 3-3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock; this is the piece that you will do your stamping on. Stamp the large “star dust” image across the white cardstock, as shown, using soft sky ink. Randomly stamp some small star images around the star dust. In layers, adhere the silver foil and white cardstock (with your stamped images) on your soft sky card front. Take the large star framelit die and your Big Shot Embossing machine, cut out a star from silver glimmer paper (You could also cut out the star from the center of the silver foil paper before you use it on the card as a matte. It saves on paper.) Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment on a scrap piece of white paper using versa mark. Sprinkle some silver embossing powder on the versa mark, tap off the excess; use the heat tool to set the image. Cut out a little banner, as shown, and adhere the sentiment to the white cardstock. For the finishing touch, embellish your card with some rhinestones!
