Balloon Celebration

Good Morning! Hope you have been enjoying your weekend! Today I have a quick and simple little birthday card showcasing the Playful Palette Designer Washi Tape and Balloons!  I wanted to design something simple and fun so I could use the new balloon punch. I happened to have a bit of gold bakers twine lying on my craft table and, as I was punching out some balloons, I realized the baker’s twine would make an awesome little string for the balloons! And I figured out a simple way to attach it!  Let’s take a look.

005To make this card, start with a piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Run the 5 different Playful Palette washi tape patterns, on an angle, across the white cardstock. Stamp a little “Happy Birthday” sentiment under the last piece of washi tape using black ink.

Punch out two different sized balloons; one in Sweet Sugarplum and one in Peekaboo Peach. Cut two pieces of gold bakers twine (or any coordinating color) and adhere them to the back of the balloons with a few Stampin’ Dimensionals. Yes, you do not have to tie the baker’s twine to the balloons!  The baker’s twine hangs directly below the balloons! Once you have secured the baker’s twine, simply arrange the balloons on your card as shown. How fun, hey? Enjoy!
