Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! October is right around the corner so it’s time to start sharing some Halloween projects with all of you! Today I have a quick and simple Halloween card idea for you! This particular layout is one of my favorite ways to use washi tape! If you love washi tape, you can use this design to create a card for ANY occasion. Just use a flower, butterfly or some other type of embellishment that coordinates with your washi tape and stamp a sentiment on the card to fit the occasion! It’s a super simple and quick card idea!
To make this card, start with a piece of perfect plum cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Grab a few rolls of washi tape; in this case I used the new Halloween Night Designer Washi Tape pack. There are 5 rolls in the pack. Simplly tear off a piece of washi tape long enough to go completely across the white cardstock so you can wrap the ends around to the back. Start with the upper pieces and work your way down. You can run your pieces straight across or on an angle, like on this project. There is no right or wrong way to use it! I left a little bit of white cardstock showing in between each piece of washi tape I applied. Once you have all of your washi tape on the card, stamp a little sentiment as shown. For the finishing touch, I stamped a little Dracula image and colored him in with a few different markers and adhered him to the card with dimensionals. Get out your washi tape and start creating some fun cards! The possibilities are endless! Enjoy!
