Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I want to share one of the cards from this year’s Christmas Club! Each year I hold a Christmas stamp-a-stack event. We get together once a month for 3 months…September, October and November…to stamp-a-stack of Christmas cards. Not familiar with a stamp-a-stack? Basically we make a total of 12 cards each night. There are 3 different Christmas card designs and each club member makes 4 of each of the designs. So by the end of November, each participant has 36 beautiful Christmas cards to sent out! Just in time for Christmas! This was one of the cards we made this month!
To make this card, start with a piece of basic black cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/2 x 3 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp one of the sentiments from the Holy Berry Happiness stamp set on the lower right hand side of the cardstock using black ink. Randomly stamp the outline of the holly across the top of the white cardstock using black ink. The holly is a 2-step stamping process so once you have the outline stamped, grab the coordinating “fill in” stamp (the one with the solid leaves). Ink up the stamp with the solid leaves using garden green ink and stamp them in the black outlines. Add some holly berries, using real red ink, with the coordinating holly berry stamp. The nice thing about these stamps are that they are photopolymer so you can see where you are stamping the images before you actually stamp them! It makes it easier to line everything up! Cut a 1/2 x 5-1/2 inch piece of real red cardstock and a piece of the green patterned paper from the Warmth & Cheer designer paper pack (DSP). Adhere these pieces behind the top part of the white cardstock as shown; then adhere the entire piece to the front of your basic black card base. For the finishing touch, stamp a few bows (using the bow outline image) on some real red cardstock with black ink. Punch out the bows with the coordinating punch and embellish them with a few rhinestones. Enjoy!
