Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I have a fun Fall-Themed card to share with all of you. This card was designed for a monthly swap that I participate in with other Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators. Fall is my favorite time of year! Probably because it marks the beginning of the holiday season! I also absolutely love the colors of Fall. I live in Wisconsin so the colors of Fall are just absolutely beautiful!
To make this card, start with a piece of soft suede cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5-1/4 x 4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock and stamp it with the Hardwood background stamp; use soft suede ink. Sponge the edges with a bit of soft suede ink. Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of an orange colored piece of designer series paper (DSP). I actually used a pattern from the Halloween Night Specialty DSP pack. Tuck a piece of the delicate white doily behind the DSP and adhere it to the center of the hardwood. Punch out a 2 inch circle from a piece of cajun craze cardstock and tuck it behind the doily. Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of early espresso cardstock and tear it in half; adhere one of the halves below the orange DSP. Cut a 5 inch piece of the burlap; adhere it across the DSP, as shown. Wrap the ends of the burlap around to the back of the hardwood cardstock, then secure the entire piece to your card base. Stamp a few acorn pieces using soft suede, early espresso, pumpkin pie and cajun craze; punch out the pieces with the coordinating punch and assemble the acorns. Adhere to the card front as shown. For the finishing touch, add a little sentiment. Enjoy!
