Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I want to show you how you can take one card design and make it in multiple colors. It’s a great way to use a card layout over and over again without having to come up with new designs. At the beginning of July I put together the pretty little vintage card (on the left) using crumb cake and pink pirouette inks. The card on the right is the same layout and design except that I changed out the colors and added a few butterflies to embellish it. It’s the same layout with just a few different touches! Let’s take a look what you will need for the purple card!
Start with a piece of smoky slate cardstock for the base of your card. Randomly stamp some of the textured images onto the card front using smoky slate ink. When you use the same color ink as your cardstock it adds a subtle but pretty little background. Sponge the edges of the card with smoky slate ink. Cut a 2-3/4 x 4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock. Stamp the flower and stem images on the cardstock using smoky slate ink. Fill in your flower by stamping the solid flower image using wisteria wonder ink. Tear the bottom of the very vanilla cardstock, as shown, and sponge a bit of smoky slate ink all the way around the outer edges. Sponging gives you a worn look.
Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of wisteria wonder cardstock, tear one end and adhere it on the right hand side of the very vanilla cardstock as shown. Cut a paper doily into 4 pieces and tuck it under the top part of the very vanilla cardstock. Secure the entire piece to your card front using snail adhesive. Cut a 3/4 x 2 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock and stamp a little sentiment on it and sponge the edges using smoky slate ink; adhere it to your card, as shown, with dimensionals. For the finishing touch, add a few butterflies and pearls.
