Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today I want to share a quick and simple card idea with all of you. This card layout is perfect if you have a lot of cards to send! The cards showcase the beautiful night of navy colors found in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack but you can use this layout with ANY patterned papers that you have on hand. You can also use washi tape, ribbon, cardstock or anything else you can think of to create the “trim” for the card. Let’s take a closer look at how to recreate these cards.
Start with a piece of cardstock that coordinates with the colors in the DSP you chose; in this case, I started with night of navy cardstock. Cut a 5-/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of the Floral Boutique DSP. Adhere the DPS to the center of the white cardstock using snail or other adhesive. For the trim pieces, you can use washi tape which is quick and simple. Just run the washi tape across the top and bottom of the DSP and wrap the excess washi tape around to the back of the white paper. Or you can use cardstock cut to 1 x 4 inches. I actually embossed the cardstock to add a little detail but you can just leave it plain as well. You could also run ribbon across the top and bottom of the DSP! Get creative with it! For the finishing touch, simply add a little tag with a sentiment and embellish it with an elegant butterfly! Enjoy!
