Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! If you love flowery cards, you are gonna love today’s project! This month I participated in a swap with some of my fellow demonstrators. We were challenged to design a card with any of the NEW stamp sets from the 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! catalog. There were so many ideas running through my mind so I decided to challenge myself and picked a stamp set that I hadn’t played with yet. And…voila! I was super excited with the way the cards turned out! So excited, that I decided to use this for my classes as well. I just changed one little thing on the card, let’s see if you notice the difference.
To make this card, start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock for the base of the card. Cut a 3 1/2 x 4 inch piece of tangerine tango and adhere it to the left side of the card,as shown, with a bit of snail adhesive. Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock to stamp on. Start by stamping the stem of the flower on the left hand side of the white cardstock using pear pizazz ink. Grab a few scrap pieces of white cardstock and stamp the following:
- Two small leaves ~ Pear Pizazz Ink
- Three Flower Petals ~ Peekaboo Peach (Stamp over the top of one of the petals using Tangerine Tango and the coordinating petal overlay stamp)
Punch out all of the pieces withe the coordinating Blossom Builder Punch. Adhere the petals and leaves, as shown, using dimensionals. Stamp a little sentiment and a the dots splatter image using crumb cake ink. Cut a 1 x 3 inch piece of the 2016-2018 Peekaboo Peach Designer Series Paper (DSP). Adhere the DSP to the right side just behind the white cardstock. Add a little piece of a doily behind the DSP, then adhere the entire piece to your card front as shown. For the finishing touch, punch out a tangerine tango elegant butterfly and embellish it with a few pearls. Enjoy!
