Good Morning Stampin’ Friends! Today marks the end of the 2015-2016 Stampin’ Up! catalog! The good news is that the NEW 2016-2017 Stampin’ Up! catalog goes lives tomorrow! And, of course, it is full of awesome products! This beautiful stamp set, called First Sight, is going to carry over into the new catalog. Wahoo! This stamp set has some gorgeous images in it so I was excited to see that it made the cut!
To make this card, start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp the flourish image using crumb cake ink. I stamped it so that it came out of the upper right and lower left corners. Grab some of the smaller images, like the heart and a little flourish, and randomly stamp them one and around the crumb cake flourish….use blushing bride ink. Once you have finished stamping, adhere a 1 x 4 inch piece of designer paper across the center of the card but tuck a few pieces of a paper doily behind the paper first. Stamp the forever friends sentiment, using blushing bride ink, on a scrap piece of white paper, then cut out a little banner for your card as shown. Tip: It’s easier to stamp the sentiment and cut it out by hand. For the finishing touch, embellish with some pearls. Enjoy!
