A Washi Tape Birthday

A Washi Birthday

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far!  The weather has been simply gorgeous here in Wisconsin!  We are busy planting flowers and doing yard work all day. The fun kind of yard work! 🙂  I decided to take a little break and post a little project for all of you!  This particular project was inspired by one of the projects in the new catalog.  It showcases something different you can do with your washi tape!  One of the great things about using washi tape is that you can just tear it and stick it. And you can pretty much just stick it anywhere and it turns out kinda cool!

For this particular project, I started with a piece of soft sky cardstock for the base of my card. I cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and rounded out the corners with the curvy corner trio punch. I have quite a bit of It’s My Party washi tape left over so I thought I would use that up…since there are a lot more washi tape patterns in the new catalog! Wahoo! Anyways, grab some rolls of washi tape and just randomly tear the ends and run them across your card.  Then grab a scrap piece of designer paper and stamp a little happy birthday on it, tear the ends and secure it to the center of your washi tape pattern with dimensionals. For this finishing touch, just add a few candy dots. Enjoy!
