Good Morning! It’s Tea Time! There’s something so soothing about a nice cuppa tea; even if it is a card design! I have to admit…I was not really too excited about this particular stamp set when I first saw it in the Occasions Catalog. But over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to work with this bundle of products and absolutely love them! There are so many ways to use them and they are perfect for creating some elegant vintage style cards!
To make this card, start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 2 x 5 1/2 inch piece of some pink designer paper. In this case I used some of the pretty paper from the Perfectly Artistic Sale-a-bration pack. Tear one of the sides of the patterned paper and sponge it with crumb cake ink. Sponging softens the color and gives it a “worn” or more vintage style look. Grab a paper doily and sponge that with some crumb cake ink as well. And…while you are at it…sponge some crumb cake ink all over the edges of the card! Adhere all of these pieces to the card as shown.
Cut out a little tea pot using the framelits from the A Nice Cuppa Bundle. You can use any designer paper you like for the teapot; I used some of the soft patterns found in the Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper stack.. Stamp some of the fun images in the set directly on the teapot. Adhere the teapot to the center of your paper doily. Stamp the little tea-riffic sentiment in the lower right hand corner. Cut out a few crumb cake heart shapes, with the framelit set, and adhere them above the teapot spout. For the finishing touch, embellish the teapot with a little pearl.
Thanks so much for visiting me today! Enjoy!
