Have you ever heard of crystal effects? Well it’s a fun little product that adds just the right amount of pizzazz to any project! It’s sort of like puffy paint except that it dries clear and it’s very shiny! I haven’t played with this product in quite some time so it was fun to pull it out of the cabinet and create something with it. Crystal effects has so many wonderful uses. You can use to accent your stamped images (like the flower on this card) but it also makes a great adhesive for buttons or other embellishments. It’s also a fun way to add a bit of glitter to a project. Crystal effects comes in a bottle with a fine tip applicator that makes it so easy to put it exactly where you want it!
For this particular project I used a bit of crystal effects to accent the little flower image. To create this card, start with a piece of chocolate chip cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp a little sentiment in the upper right hand corner of the card and a little flowery image in the left hand corner. Cut a 3 x4 inch piece of the delightful dijon flowery patterned designer series paper and adhere it to the lower half of the white cardstock. Make a little bow with the coordinating dotted lace trim; use glue dots to adhere the bow to your card. Just a little tip…put the entire card together BEFORE you use the crystal effects as it takes about 30 minutes for the crystal effects to dry.
