Top O’ the Mornin’ to Ya! 🙂 Today I have a fun little St. Patrick’s Day themed card to share. This card was inspired by a little demonstrator challenge that I am participating in. The challenge was to create something using the color “Cucumber Crush.” So…since St. Patrick’s Day is this week, I thought I would create a fun little card to celebrate.
To make this card, start with a piece of cucumber crush cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and emboss it with the softly falling embossing folder (or simply use your favorite embossing folder). Cut a 2 x 4 inch piece of cucumber crush designer paper and adhere it to the center of the embossed cardstock. Cut a 2 3/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock (to do your stamping on) and a 3 x 4 1/4 inch piece of cucumber crush cardstock (this piece will serve as your matte). Grab a heart shaped stamp; I used the heart in the new A Nice Cuppa stamp set. Ink up the heart with cucumber crush and stamp 3 hearts in the shape of a clover. Draw a little stem off the bottom of the heart cluster using the coordinating marker; in this case, the cucumber crush marker. Tie a bit of cucumber crush lace trim into a bow and adhere it to the lower half of the cardstock, as shown, with glue dots. Then matte it out with the 3 x 4 1/4 inch piece of cucumber crush cardstock and adhere it to the center of your card front with a few dimensionals. Add a little sentiment using the 3/4 and 1 inch circle punches or simply stamp it the sentiment on the bottom part of the cardstock (before your adhere the bow). For the finishing touch, embellish it with a few pearls. Enjoy!
