Post-It Note Holder

post it note holderGood Morning!  Today I have a fun little gift idea to share with you.  It’s a post-it note holder! I actually designed this particular project as a 3D Make N Take for a demonstrator meeting I had last month.  It’s super simple and fun to make!  It makes a great gift…I mean who doesn’t need post-it notes, right?

2016-03-01_1932To make this project start by measuring your post-it notes.  The measurements that I am about to provide are for a 3 x 3 inch post-it note. If you have larger post-it notes, you will have to adjust the sizes. I also use half of the stack of post-it notes (if you want to use a full post-it note stack, simple increase these measurements by 1/4 inch). So…for half of a 3 x 3 inch post it note stack, start by cutting a piece of cardstock at 6 3/4 x 3 1/4 inches. I used calypso coral cardstock to coordinate with the colors in the Wildflower Fields Designer Paper. One the 6 3/4 inch side, score the cardstock at 3 1/4 and 3 1/2 inches. Add a few pieces of strong tape (like the Tear & Tape or double sided tape) to the back of your post-it note stack and adhere the post-it notes to one of the 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch squares on the inside of the cardstock.  Fold the other 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch square over the top of the post-it notes (so it forms the cover). Then just decorate the cover!  I cut a 3 x 3 inch piece of the Wildflower Fields DSP and secured it to the top of the post-it note holder with a bit of snail adhesive. Next I cut a piece of large ribbon large enough to go completely around the post-it note holder (as shown). Secure the ribbon to the front and back cover of the post-it note holder with some double sided tape (the tear & tape works perfect). Leave a little bit of extra ribbon hang off the holder so you can add a cute little clip on the side (so you can open and close it). For the finishing touch, I added a little sentiment and a flower. Enjoy!
