Hello Everyone! I have some fun projects to share with you over the next couple of days that showcase the new Rose Garden Die cuts. These die cuts allow you to create such beautiful cards! And there are a variety of ways that you can use them. So let’s take a closer look at how to make this first card.
Start with a piece of cherry cobbler cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of basic black. You will also need a piece of white cardstock that is at least the same size as the black one you just cut. Grab the large rose die cut from the Rose Garden thinlit pack. Carefully place the rose die cut on your piece of black cardstock and cut out the rose. Save the black rose you cut out (for the next project I post). You will also keep the 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of cardstock with the outline of the rose…you will be using that piece for this project. Adhere the 5 1/4 x 4 inch black piece with the outline of the rose to the front of your cherry cobbler card. Now take that white piece of cardstock and cut out a white rose using the same large rose thinlit. The big shot die brush works fantastic to easily remove all of the small cut pieces from the rose. Adhere the white rose to your card front in the rose space outlined by the black cardstock. Notice how the black mattes out the white rose and the red from your cherry cobble card base shows through the white. Pretty cool, hey? You can adhere the rose with glue dots (you will have to roll up the glue dots) or use a fine tip glue pen. For the finishing touch, add a little sentiment embellished with pearls. Enjoy!
