Good Morning! Here is project #2 in the Love Blossoms series. This particular project showcases a fun design that you can create with the beautiful Love Blossoms Designer Series Paper (DSP) or any other pretty patterned papers that you have on hand. It’s also a great way to use up scraps!
To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. All of the DSP pieces are cut to 3/4 inch wide except for the light pink piece in the middle which is 1/2 inch wide. Starting on the left hand side of the card, cut your first piece of DSP to 5 1/4 inches long. Each subsequent piece of DSP will be 1/4 inch shorter. So, from left to right, here are the measurements: 3/4 x 5 1/4 inch, 3/4 x 5 inch, 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch, 3/4 x 4 1/2 inch and 3/4 x 4 1/4 inches. Next, grab your banner punch and make each DSP piece into a little banner as shown (you can also snip the ends by hand to make the banners if you don’t have a punch). Starting on the left hand side of the card, adhere the banners to your card front (begin with the longest piece). Tip: Leave a little bit of the white cardstock showing through. I recommend laying out the banners on your card front first to get an idea of how to space them out before securing them to the card front. Cut a 1 x 4 1/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp a little sentiment on the right hand side of the white cardstock using crumb cake ink. Grab a piece of the flowery DSP from the love blossoms pack and “fussy” cut a bunch of flowers….basically, you will cut out one of the flower bunches by hand. These little flower bunches make fun little embellishments for your projects! One you have a flower bunch cut out, simply adhere it to the left of the sentiment using a dimensional. Enjoy!
