One of my favorite Christmas color combos is the use of silver, navy and white. There is just something so elegant about this particular color combination. And it is the perfect combination for Christmas cards that showcase images such as snowflakes. So if you are looking for a beautiful Christmas card that showcases some non-traditional colors, this might be the project for you.
To make this card, start with a piece of night of navy cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock and emboss it with the Softly Falling textured embossing folder. Cut a 4 x 3 inch piece of the silver snowflake design from the Holiday Vellum pack. Add a bit of adhesive to the top and bottom part of the vellum and secure it to the center of your card. I recommend adding the adhesive to the vellum in areas that will be covered up with other pieces of cardstock or embellishments so that you do not see the adhesive through the vellum. Cut a 1/2 x 4 inch piece of silver glimmer paper and adhere it to the card by overlapping it a bit onto the bottom of the vellum to cover up your adhesive line. Cut a 1/2 x 3 3/4 inch piece of night of navy cardstock, snip one end into a banner, and adhere this piece to the top part of the vellum. Stamp a little Christmas sentiment on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out with your favorite punch (I used the washi label punch). Adhere the sentiment as shown with dimensionals. For the finishing touch, embellish the banner with a wooden snowflake element and iced rhinestone. Enjoy!
