Are you thinking Christmas yet? If you are following along with my posts you probably are. 🙂 Today I have another fun card idea for you showcasing the embellished ornaments stamp set. This is just a beautiful set! I love all of the detail in the ornaments and they make such gorgeous embellishments on your cards.
To make this card, start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock for the base of your card. Emboss the front of the crumb cake cardstock with the Boughs & Berries textured embossing folder. Sponge a bit of crumb cake ink on the raised images from the embossing. Cut a 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch piece of cherry cobbler cardstock and 4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp a Christmas sentiment in the lower left hand corner of the 4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Stamp the holly berry branches on the top part of your white cardstock using old olive ink. Much like the card I shared the other day, you will be sponging a bit of pear pizzazz ink all over the branches and highlighting the holly berries with a red marker (cherry cobbler is the one I used). Optional: You can distress the edges of your white cardstock for a more vintage look; then just sponge a bit of crumb cake ink on the edges. Cut out the small ornament from red foil paper using the framelit set that coordinates with the embellished ornaments stamp set. Adhere the red foil ornament to your card with glue dots; be sure to make it look like it is hanging from one of the branches. For the finishing touch, add a little gold trim, to the top of your ornament, tied into a bow. Enjoy!
