Embellished Ornaments

catalog case festive ornamentsMore Christmas Creativity to share!  This particular project was inspired by one of the projects in the 2015 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog. It features a beautiful bundle of products called embellished ornaments. You can receive 15% off these products when you purchase them in a bundle: the bundle includes both the stamp set and framelits.

To make this card, start with a piece of crumb cake cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. This is the piece that you will do your stamping on. Stamp the Christmas sentiment in the upper left hand corner of your white cardstock using crumb cake ink. Stamp the holly leaf image onto the cardstock using old olive ink. Just a little tip:  I actually laid the ornament framelit on the card as a guide so that I knew where to stamp the branches as you want the branches to stick out from behind the cut out ornament. Sponge a bit of pear pizzazz ink all over the branches. Color the holly berries with a red marker such as cherry cobbler or real red. Optional:  Randomly stamp the small splatter image from the gorgeous grunge stamp set using crumb cake ink. For the ornament, stamp the larger ornament image on a 4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock; use pacific point ink or your favorite Christmas color. Cut out the image using the coordinating framelit. Adhere the ornament to your card with dimensionals as shown.  For the finishing touch, cut out an ornament top (using the framelit) from a scrap piece of gold glimmer paper and secure it to the top of your ornament with glue dots. Enjoy!
