Good Morning! Today I thought I would share a little fall-themed card created with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. This card was actually designed by my daughter, Tiffany Mundt, and will be showcased in one of my November classes! Yes, this is a sneak peek of one of the fun projects I have in store for you! To make this card, start with a piece of early espresso cardstock for the base of your card. Since you will be working with such a dark color of cardstock, I highly recommend that you cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of white or vanilla cardstock for the inside of the card (so that you can write or stamp a message). For the front of the card, we will be doing a bit of heat embossing so grab your versamark, white embossing powder, embossing buddy, and a heat tool. Start by gently rubbing the embossing buddy across the card front. The purpose of the embossing buddy is to decrease static so that you don’t have stray pieces of embossing powder all over your card when you go to heat it. Stamp one of the leaf images, three times, on the left side of the card front using versamark. Sprinkle your white embossing powder on the images, tap off the excess powder and heat to set. Cut a 1 x 4 inch piece of crumb cake cardstock and a 3/4 x 3 1/4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock. Stamp the “believe” sentiment on the vanilla cardstock using early espresso ink. Layer the pieces together as shown and adhere them to your cardfront overlapping them with the embossed leaves. For the finishing touch, embellish with a few neutral candy dots and some Into the Woods elements. Enjoy!
