Yesterday, I held my second annual Fall Stampin’ Extravaganza! This year was the first year that I offered a “To Go Version” of my live event for those stampin’ enthusiasts that don’t live near me or were unable to attend in person. I love making little handmade gifts for every participant! One of my favorite gifts is this quick and easy gift box! Each guest received one of these handmade and personalized gift boxes. And of course there were gifts inside. 🙂 But the boxes are also perfect for storing all of the projects they were making at this event! The boxes were made from two 12 x 12 pieces of cardstock. For the top: simply score a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock at 2 inches all the way around, snip all four corners up to the 2 inch score line (so that it forms a flap on each end of the box), and secure the flaps to the inside of the box. Repeat this process to make the bottom of the box but be sure to cut the 12 x 12 cardstock down by 1/8 of an inch so the top fits nicely over the bottom. You can really decorate the box any way you like! I simply cut a 4 x 12 inch piece of designer paper and covered the middle of the box top, I added a few embellishments and a personalized name tag. For the finishing touch, I added some pretty ribbon tied in a bow.
