This week I thought I would share a few of the Christmas projects my daughter and I have been working on. This particular project is one that I put together for my September Christmas class. It showcases the fun images from the Wonderland and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets. The little gold embossed splatter images are from the gorgeous grunge set and the other images are from the Wonderland set. Let’s take a closer look at how to create this card.
Start with a piece of soft sky cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Grab a green and brown marker (I used old olive and soft suede). Color the branch image from the Wonderland set using these 2 marker colors and stamp it on the white cardstock. Repeat the coloring and stamping of the image at least 2 more times (refer to pic). Randomly stamp a few snowflakes using soft sky ink. Grab your versa mark and stamp the splatter image on the top and bottom of the cardstock, sprinkle the image with gold embossing powder and heat to set. Sponge a bit of soft sky around the embossed and stamped images. Emboss a little Christmas sentiment, in gold, on a scrap piece of white cardstock (cut the ends to make a little pennant). Grab a scrap piece of soft sky cardstock, a little longer than the sentiment, cut it into a pennant and secure it behind the embossed sentiment. For the finishing touches, add a few pieces of gold washi tape and a little gold foil doily to the center of the project before you adhere the sentiment. Enjoy!
