Boughs and Berries

Are you thinking Christmas yet?  Yes, I know that it’s only September but I always get in the Christmas spirit once Stampin’ Up! publishes their Holiday catalog.  And this year’s catalog has some simply amazing products…but…then again…they always come out with amazing products, don’t they?! 🙂  This particular project showcases some of the pretty patterned papers, a fun new embossing folder and, of course, a new holiday stamp set!  Let’s take a closer look at how to make this card.cozy christmasStart with a piece of mossy meadow cardstock for the base of your card. Emboss the card front with the new Boughs & Berries Embossing Folder. Sponge a bit of crumb cake ink all over the raised embossed images to give them more depth and dimension. Cut a 2 x 5 1/2 inch piece of the green patterned paper from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. Cut a 2 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch piece of cherry cobbler cardstock to serve as a matte for your DSP. Adhere to the center of your card front with dimensionals. Stamp the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Cozy Christmas stamp set onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using cherry cobbler ink; punch out the sentiment with the 2 inch circle punch and adhere to the center of a gold foil doily. Adhere the entire piece to the center of your DSP with dimensionals. Enjoy!
