Good Morning! Today I have a beautiful card to share with you that was inspired by a project showcased in the Annual Stampin’ Up! catalog. I was drawn to the gold accents on this card and, of course, the beautiful images in the World of Dreams stamp set. Let’s take a closer look at how to make this card.
Start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the striped gold vellum and adhere to your card front. Tip: Put your adhesive in spots on the vellum where it won’t be seen (toward the middle of the vellum). Cut a 3 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock. Randomly stamp the beautiful nature images along the outer edges of the card, as shown, using the 2014-2016 In Colors: Blackberry bliss, Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow. Grab 2 paper doilies and heat emboss one of the sentiments onto the center of the doily using gold embossing powder. Punch out a 2 1/2 inch whisper white circle and adhere it behind the doilies. Secure the doily to the card as shown (fold the doily over to the back side of the white cardstock. Add a bit of Venetian trim to the top part of the doily and tie some gold baker’s twine around the white piece. Secure the entire piece over the gold striped vellum using dimensionals. Enjoy!
