Good Morning! Today I want to share a fun little birthday card created with the Giggle Greetings stamp set. This particular stamp set has some fun greetings that are sure to make you smile! My favorite greeting is the one featured on this card…”birthday are like hairballs, the more you have, the more you want to gag”. I can definitely relate! lol 🙂 Let’s take a look at how to make this card.
Start with a piece of Tip Top Taupe for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the birthday cake patterned paper from the Cherry on Top Designer Series paper pack. You will be left with a few scrap pieces of DSP once you cut the 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece so grab the larger of the two pieces and cut it down to 4 inches wide. Use the X pattern (which is the flip side of the cake pattern) and secure this piece across the card front as shown. Cut a 2 3/4 x 2 3/4 inch piece of very vanilla cardstock and stamp the “birthdays are like hairballs” greeting onto it using tip top taupe. Color in the cat image using some dark yellow markers (I used delightful dijon and crushed curry). Add a bit of watermelon wonder (or using a red-ish colored marker) to the ears and tongue of the cat. Cut a 3 x 3 inch piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock to serve as a matte for your stamped image. Secure the two pieces together and adhere to your card with dimensionals. For the finishing touch, add a little watermelon wonder bow! Enjoy!
