Good Morning! Today I want to share a bright and cheerful project which showcases a fun new stamp set called over the Rainbow. This set has some simply adorable little images in it and is perfect for designing cards for any occasion. The colors of the rainbow are so cheerful and happy, don’t you agree? Let’s take a look at what you will need to make this card.
Start with a piece of watermelon wonder for the base of your card. Emboss the front of your card with any of your favorite embossing folders. I used the Boho Chic folder for this card. You can also put this card together without embossing the front. Cut a 3 x 4 inch piece of whisper white cardstock for stamping on. Cut a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch piece of watermelon wonder cardstock to serve as a matte for your stamped images. Grab the fun little swoosh image from the Over the Rainbow set and stamp the different colors of the rainbow right through the center of your white cardstock. For colors I chose: Watermelon Wonder, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Min Macaron, Soft Sky and Wisteria Wonder. You can choose any colors that you like or colors that you have on hand. Once you have stamped your rainbow, you can stamp a little heart next to each of the colors (I coordinated the colors of my hearts with the colors of the rainbow but feel free to mix it up a bit for a different look). 🙂 Stamp one of the sentiments from the Over the Rainbow set right in the middle of the rainbow using memento black ink. Secure your white cardstock to the watermelon wonder cardstock matte you cut earlier. Grab some scrap pieces of silver glimmer paper and cut them 4 1/4 inch long x 1/2 inch or so; adhere these pieces to the top and bottom of your watermelon wonder matte. Secure everything to the front of your card using dimensionals. Enjoy!
