Wondering what to do with washi tape? Well today I have a fun little flower medallion embellishment that I made out of washi tape. It was quick and simple to make. Plus it adds a little bit of pizazz to the project, don’t you think? Let’s take a look at how to make this card.
Start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Stamp a little sentiment on the bottom right hand side of the card front. I used blackberry bliss ink because it coordinates nicely with the colors in the Bohemian washi tape. Once you have your sentiment stamped, emboss the upper part of your card front with a fun design. I used the new Boho Chic embossing folder on this card. Cut a 1 x 4 1/4 inch piece of patterned paper and secure it to the card front just above the sentiment so it covers up the spot where your embossing ended.
Now to make the washi tape flower! (1) Start by layering your washi tape on a scrap piece of paper. Make sure you choose a piece of paper big enough to punch out your flower. (2) Punch out the flower or other embellish that you would like to use. In this case, I used the flower medallion punch. (3) Adhere to your card as shown. I punched out two flowers; one with washi tape and one plain blue; then I layered them together and adhered to the card. Enbellish and Enjoy!
