Scrappin’ Fun

PP stamps June 2015Good Morning and Happy Monday!  Today I have a fun little project to share which was created with a bunch of scraps I had left over from an event last week.  I decided to use up the scraps instead of saving them. I always end up adding more and more scraps to my collection and then I never use them up! Does that happen to you too? 🙂  So let’s take a look at how to make this card.

Start with a piece of Tip Top Taupe for the base of your card. Now if you are using up your scraps, just simply coordinate your cardstock with the colors in your scrap pieces of paper. Cut a 4 x 4 inch piece of white cardstock. Cut a 3 3/4 x 1  3/4 inch piece of some scrap patterned paper and secure it to the top part of your 4 x 4 inch white piece.  I used scraps from the new Cherry on Top Designer Paper Pack. Next, cut two pieces of the same patterned paper at 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches. Then cut another paper pattern at 1 3/4 x 2 inches. Secure these pieces to the bottom half of the 4 x 4 inch white piece as shown. Be sure to leave about a 1/4 inch space in between each piece as you secure them so you have a matted background. Stamp a little sentiment on the bottom of your card front and secure the 4 x 4 inch piece with all of your pretty patterns on the top part of the card.  For the finishing touch, add a little flower or other type of embellishment to the card. That’s it!  Just think about all of the scrap paper you can use up! Enjoy!
