I have another fun Build A Birthday project for you today! This time I decided to use washi tape to create some of the candles; although I did do a bit of stampin’ too…just a bit. 🙂
To make this card, start with a piece of whisper white cardstock for the base of your card. Cut a 5 1/4 x 4 inch piece of the Cherry on Top Designer paper to serve as your background. Cut a 2 3/4 x 4 inch piece of whisper white and a 3 x 4 1/4 inch piece of watermelon wonder cardstock. You will use the watermelon wonder piece to matte out the stamped images on the white cardstock. You can either stamp the fun rectangular images from the build a birthday set or you can cut a few pieces of the Cherry on Top washi tape to serve as your candles. Once you have the candles on your cardstock, stamp a little yellow flame on the top of each of them. Next, grab one of the fun wood elements and secure it over the top of the candles with a few glue dots. For the finishing touch, add half of a silver doily to the project as shown. Enjoy!
